CRITICISM OF ISRAEL = ANTISEMITISM?

In the midst of Middle Eastern anarchy there has never been any reality to criticise the most demonised and reviled party: Israel.
Israel since its inception has been vested with the soiled coat of the JEW. Israel became instantly the “Jew amongst nations” and is treated by all like some permanently guilty party. If Arabs refuse to recognize Israel, the rest of the world is fed the lie that in fact Israel dos not recognize the Arabs.
No matter what Israel did and how Israel behaved, it was prey for critics of all kinds. The extreme left dominated by the USSR and China discovered that Israel had no intention to join any extremist camp. Thus after initially rushing to recognize the new state, the USSR became Israel’s foe and implicitly, the principal ally of Israel’s local enemies. One thing the USSR did not know about Israel’s local enemies: they were quite inept and illiterate. The Arabs lost the brand new Soviet armament to the Israelis faster than the USSR could manufacture more. In the short 1956 Sinai war, when Nasser threatened to destroy Israel fast, the Egyptian lost their new Soviet made air force in one morning and their tank battalions in three days. They even lost a warehouse with preserved food and blocks of solidified Chinese black tea.
From the outset Britain did its best to help sink the new Jewish state because to have a Jewish state was religiously intolerable according to some Mediaeval concepts and because the Jewish State was born after denting the dignity of British Colonial stiff neck bureaucrats.
Meanwhile only American Jews did their best to keep the new Israel from sinking.
Israel came into existence on territory which had been part of Mandatory Palestine, the same Judea Capta which Romans renamed Palestina in order to hurt Jewish dignity. Those defeated Jews refused to worship Caesar, as did all subjugated people and insisted that their invisible god was the only god and even lord over Caesar. Roman centurions hanged Jews on wooden poles and nailed them down with very expensive nails, yet they would not worship emperors or even Jupiter or Venus.
Anyway, the Society of Nations at Geneva gave Britain the Mandate and Britain immediately cut off the larger part of Palestine on the East bank of the river Jordan and donated it as TRANSJORDAN to a sheikh of the Hashemite family. That had been the first Partition of “Palestine” which nobody besides Britain had authorised or recognized. No matter what, from that second to this day the Arabs were right (they also owned most oil wells) and the Jews were wrong.
Jews had also experienced much anti-Semitism at the hands of conservative and right wing governments.
Thus they were looking forward to Labour, or left of centre political leadership expecting relief from insane persecution.
To their dismay, but not in their intelligent assessment the left leaning governments were equally inclined to attract Arab masses rather than Jewish minorities. Ernest Bevin, Foreign Secretary of British Government, proved the point by rejecting all Jewish Zionist approach. The Zionist movement was started in 1870 by a Hungarian Jew called Herzl who called a Congress at Basle and even approved a flag and a land-purchasing fund for Zionism.
Just to get things into perspective, let us clarify that this happened before Nazis were born and half a century before the Holocaust. It had nothing to do with the Holocaust, neither was its aim against the Arabs. It is therefore clear that any propaganda equating Zionism or Israel with anything compensating for the Holocaust, is pure scorn and anti-Semitism. The Zionists purchased land in the same area which twenty centuries before had been Jewish land. Most land was in fact property of absent Arab plutocrats who became wealthy and who increased the price of land every day.
Often, to make the Jews more amenable to land price increases, Arabs rioted against the Jews just before the price hike. One Arab operative who organized good Arab propaganda protests was Haj Amin Al Husseini Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and honorary Nazi SS commander in Bosnia, a good friend of Hitler. What was that? Not anti-Semitism?
Eventually the UN decided to step into the Middle Eastern muddle and sent an Anglo – American investigative committee called UNSCOP to the area.
The Arabs had discovered that the Moslem Mosques atop the Temple Mount in Jerusalem were the third most important Islamic shrines. But they declared to UNSCOP: “Geographically Palestine is part of Syria; its indigenous inhabitants belong to the Syrian branch of the Arab family of nations; all their culture and traditions link them to the Arab peoples.”
Now all Arab arguments deny this and affirm the fiction of some Palestinian ancestral right to the land. Arafat even promoted Jesus to having been a Palestinian Arab and more recent Arab fiction declared that the Western Wall of Herod’s Temple, the Wailing Wall, was not a Temple Wall as the “Temple never stood there….” It was a Moslem structure.
Some Western politicians found it profitable to agree with everything the Arabs invent and declare Jewish ambitions for rebuilding their ancestral patrimony “unjust”, “apartheid” and a whole series of other negatives. That is anti-Semitism.
Suddenly, some Western observers suffer of amnesia and never heard of the daily continuous shelling of Northern Israel by Hizballah rockets. Just as recently, the media ignores reporting the daily shooting of Hamas missiles into Israel from Gaza after the surrender of Gaza to the “Palestinians” and the kidnapping of Israelis by terror gangs from Lebanon or Gaza. That tendentious reporting is simply antisemitism.
The omission of frequent past Palestinian suicidal bombings of busses and of restaurants or university cafeterias and family dinners are nothing but antisemitism.
On the 5h. November 2006 two Palestinian women were shot whilst attempting to rescue Hamas combatants. The Hamas spokesman, without contradicting the facts said that the shooting was an “Israeli plan to destroy the Palestinian people.” That argument contained no truth but sounded absurd anyway. Did the Israelis incite the women to rescue the Arab aggressors?
Whilst that news item fuelled lies to spread more antisemitic demonization
There was another item on all news services to alarm: There was news of fifty heedless bodies found in Bagdad, the reality of Arab Fartricide.
In the same vein all those who forgot to mention the 4000 Hizballah missiles launched against Haifa, Naharia, Kyriat Shmoneh and the burning of green forests of Israel, or the evacuation of populations from the target areas in Israel by Israel and named the Lebanon Hizballah War “Israeli aggression” or “excessive Israeli aggression” did nothing but express their antisemitism. What is “excessive” in the face of bombardments from behind civilian shelters and civilian homes of Israeli homes and even Israeli Arab children at Nazareth? Isn’t the accusation of excessive in this case, when Arab crimes are not mentioned, antisemitism?
Is a dividing wall or line between two countries “apartheid”? Or, is that not antisemitism? Has not that wall, or separation, already stopped or drastically reduced cowardly antisemitic Arab murder? Aren’t incitements like Ahmedinejad’s repeated threats to destroy Israel, antisemitic?
Isn’t tacit agreement with those and other Arab destructive threats of total genocide, antisemitic?
Why is it that Israel’s continuous defensive life saving actions are condemned and the Arab aggression is not mentioned?
No. Antisemitism is antisemitism when it is exclusively directed to demonise and soil Israel’s behaviour.
Saudi Arabia is building a long wall to face Iraq. Is that apartheid? Or, is only an Israeli wall apartheid? Arabs and Muslims the world over have been told and believe that the Jews flew those airplanes into the New York Twin Towers on 9/11. Bin Laden has proudly accepted responsibility for those martyrs…..yet the Jews are blamed in Arabia. Isn’t that antisemitism?
Isn’t any single minded attack on the Jewish state, isn’t any partisan accusation against the Jewish state alone: ANTISEMITISM?
Jew may not live in some Arab countries because of Arab apartheid. Israel has an Arab as ambassador to Athens. Do Jews vote and are Jews elected in Saudi or in Jordan? Arabs vote and are elected in Israel. Has an antisemite ever accused the Arab Sudanese Janjaveed and government genocide in Darfur with the same vehemence? Those Arabs have murdered 450,000 black Africans? No, because he is an antisemite he will not accuse Arabs of murder when blood flows. But he will accuse Israel of some defect.
Has any antisemitic lout accused the Syrian dictators of murdering masses of people? No. Because an antisemite only hates Jews. Has an antisemite accused the Arabs of starting a war against Israel even when that is obviously the case? No, an antisemite only accuses Israel. An antisemite will refuse to listen to justification of the truth if it benefits Israel. The antisemite’s hate and prejudice may not be disturbed by truth or reality.
Impartiality, truth, justice, real equivalence are the qualities of propriety; lies and prejudice are the symptoms of cowardly disingenuous racist antisemitism.
Racism survives only in an environment of lies and dishonesty.
PS: Antisemitic refers to anti-Jewish and nothing else.
There is no such thing as a Semitic race or people. Semitic is a language group including: ARAMAIC, HEBREW, ARABIC, AMHARIC, GEZ, and SYRIAC.
